Why do we live in a world,
Where she has to hide her pads?
Why do we live in a world,
Where it's not safe for her at night?
Why do we live in a world,
Where she can't wear what she wants?
Why do we live in a society,
Where she can't go out with who she wants to?
Why do we live in a society,
Where she is slutshamed for loving someone?
Why do we live in a society,
Where she is judged by her choices, not achievements?
We live in a country where she is molested, tortured, raped, shamed and killed everyday.
Yet, she has the courage to be born again,
To fight these battles again.
We live in such a world, because of centuries of repression, centuries of silence. But now, she cannot be stopped. No, she does not like pink and no she does not want to play with barbie dolls. Deal with it.
It's time to stop writing, and time to start acting. Let's make this world a better place for everyone, where everyone is equal, not just in the eyes of the law but also in the eyes of other people.
Let's change this world so that, tomorrow, no woman should have to say these two words -
"Me Too"
