On Promoting Gender Equality

Gender inequality is not an issue of being a girl or a woman, it should be an issue for everyone, and it effects everybody- whether it’s a girl or a boy or a person who identifies with any other gender.  More people should be interested and involve themselves with youth organizations as we, the youth, are actively trying to transform the world into a better place.

5 Things You Can Do To Improve Gender Equality Today-

1. Know yourself

2. Challenge gender norms (and the status quo)

3. Be courageous, have a voice, stand up for yourself and lead by example

4. Help other women. And that doesn’t necessarily mean being nice.

5. Do it over and over and over again.

Whatever your superpower is, you can use it to make a difference. We all have the power to make a difference and we should use it in everything we do and every chance we get.
